Merna Mora Weekend 2025
Saturday 7th of June to Monday the 9th
It’s back on. Slightly different, but still a fantastic weekend.
The Riding. Some of the best riding in the world. Hills, Gorges, mountains, and lots of corners, and occasionally Roo’s, Emus, Eagles and always road kill.
If you haven’t done this trip before, it’s a bucket list weekend.
We leave Bolivar, the old Servo, at 9 am Saturday morning.
Two Wells, Mallala, skirt Balaklava, morning tea at Clare, lunch in Melrose, then travel through some best ever riding, and re-group in Hawker, where we fuel up.
Arrive at Merna Mora at about 4.30, settle into our rooms, have a few drinks and watch the sunset from the Airstrip. After a great dinner we sit around the campfire and chat about the day.
Sunday, after breakfast we ride to Hawker and then onto Wilpena for morning tea and the usual surprise,(RR).
Then it’s on to Blinman for lunch. This is the best ride day ever, and the best thing is, that after lunch we turn around and ride back to Hawker again. The scenery is amazing.
From Hawker we head back to MM for more sunset viewing, drinks, campfire and food.
We will have a poker run during the day, and a hat competition, prizes will be the usual,(RR).
After breakfast on Monday, we head into Hawker and find a coffee. We then head towards Orroroo for morning tea or an early lunch and then head off home, as a group or in different directions.
The accommodation at Merna Mora Station is in the form of units, or rooms in the Torrens room, or powered sites.

Do not call the station or register on MJ. If you do not send me an email with your mobile number then you will not be booked in. I can give you the room costs per night. If you are willing to share fantastic, let me know who with, and your costs per person will come down.
Food. This is the big change. We are self-catering. Roger, Kaye and their cohorts are taking on this task, with help of course. They will be doing a budget and working a rough average cost per person. We will then get you to pay this before the weekend. We are still working out how you can pay us for the food, so watch this space. We will also get everyone to jump in and help with preparation or clean up.
We will have the two different patches of course, for sale on the weekend.
