Adelaide HOG Member Benefits
Welcome to Adelaide HOG, which is currently the only factory-sponsored motor vehicle related social club of its kind in the world.
The Harley Owners Group, a division of Harley Davidson Inc., is the governing body of all H.O.G. sanctioned activities. The purpose of the local Chapter is to promote responsible motorcycling activities for Harley Owners Group members by conducting chapter activities and encouraging participation in other H.O.G. events while maintaining a family-oriented philosophy.
The Adelaide Chapter of the Harley Owners Group was formed in March 1990 with an initial membership of twenty, and has now grown to over three hundred members. Like any other chapter around the world, it consists of people from all walks of life who have one common interest, riding Harleys.
RIDES: We hold club rides for members comprising of Friday, Saturday and Sunday rides during the year. Times and dates are printed in the newsletter and are also available on the club website https://www.adelaidehogsa.com.au/ and the Chapter’s Facebook page “Adelaide Harley Owners Group”. All H.O.G. runs are conducted within a set of ‘Ride Rules’ to prioritise safety standards for all concerned. In every instance a ‘Ride Captain’ is appointed to lead the ride and a ‘Tail-End Charlie’ is responsible for attending to slow riders or breakdowns. Some rides will incorporate morning tea and lunch. Overnight rides are also planned throughout the year.
ACTIVITIES: A number of Chapter activities are held throughout the year. In addition to the Chapter references. The next month’s activities can also be located on the white board at Harley-Heaven, 230 Franklin Street, Adelaide.
MEETINGS: A General Meeting open to all members and their partners is convened on the second Tuesday of each month, at the West Adelaide Football Club, 57 Milner Road, Richmond, commencing at 7:30 pm. Members and partners are encouraged to attend and around eighty do so each month. Meals are available from 6.00 pm.
CLUB BADGES, CHAPTER BADGES, T-SHIRTS: Club Merchandise is available to be purchased at monthly club meetings. See H.O.G. Shop Sales.
MEMBERSHIP: Chapter membership is available for all members of H.O.G. They receive a newsletter as well as other club benefits.
Memberships expire on the last day of February each year regardless of when you joined, people joining from 1st December to 29th February do not have to rejoin until the following club year.
BENEFITS: The enclosed Membership Card, when presented at Harley-Heaven will attract a 10% discount on accessories etc. You will also need to show this card to attend the AGM each year.
Special events, social happenings, and concessions are available from time to time throughout the H.O.G. year and provide excellent value for your annual club subscription. State, interstate and national H.O.G. endorsed rallies & events are held at various times throughout the year, most of which require H.O.G membership to attend.
Our Newsletter advertises coming events, members’ sale items, ride reports, articles, dealer information and club sponsors etc. A copy of the HOG City News is emailed to all members as they are issued throughout the year.
